The members of the training team from this prestigious school came to visit us to share a fraternal moment and relive the atmosphere they experienced last summer at our establishment. At the beginning of 2024, the French Ministry of the Interior asked us to provide accommodation for more than 85 police students and their supervisory staff, in order to ensure and coordinate security for the Paris Olympic Games, along with all the other French law enforcement agencies. And, as for our “hosts”, the Olympic Village. <\/p>\n

This weekend’s trip to the Paris region was intended to be a time for reunion, sharing the events that have marked the lives of each and every one of us, and sharing in a significant spiritual way when we all took part in the Mass of the “Presentation of the Lord in the Temple”. The visit to Notre-Dame Cathedral on Saturday was an occasion for “holy” emotion, not to mention a legitimate sense of wonder at the grandeur of God and his transcendence, and the genius of Man expressed in this concert of aestheticism. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The visit of these people from Saint Malo shows that friendship transcends everything – everyone’s occupations and the distance they have to travel – while allowing the present to look to the future, with other projects planned for next spring or summer. We’re even thinking of a possible pilgrimage to Rome. <\/p>\n

We renew our joy in knowing them and sharing with them our common desire to create an ever more humane humanity. There’s no doubt that they embody their motto:  “Always faithful<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Geographical location<\/h2>\n

The Saint-Malo National Police Academy (ENP) is the only police academy in Brittany. It is located on a 3.8-hectare site shared with the sub-prefecture and police station of Saint-Malo, close to the “intra-muros” and the beaches of the Emerald Coast. <\/p>\n

Since March 10, 1988, ENP Saint-Malo has been housed in buildings previously occupied by the 47th infantry regiment. A member of the network of 9 ENP in mainland France, and part of the Acad\u00e9mie de Police, it provides initial training for gardiens de la paix, deputy police officers and cadets de la R\u00e9publique. <\/p>\n

                  Numerous partner services also call on the school for logistical support, such as the Gendarmerie Nationale, customs, the Office National pour la Chasse et la Faune Sauvage (ONFCS) for use of its shooting range, the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer (SNSM) for the provision of teaching rooms, and the Service D\u00e9partemental d’Incendie et de Sauvetage 35 for use of its equipment and simulation facilities.<\/p>\n

                  The school regularly hosts a number of prestigious national courses organized by specialized services (DCPJ, RAID, DGSI, etc.), as well as international courses run by the French National Police’s International Cooperation Department.<\/p>\n

                  The ENP also organizes special internships for3rd<\/sup> graders (company discovery internships), schoolchildren (professional BACs), students and their teachers (IUT – psychology – nursing training institute), healthcare executives, master’s students in criminology…<\/p>\n

                  Coat of arms<\/h2>\n

                  The blue badge is surrounded by oak and laurel leaves symbolizing public strength and peace. In the center is the coat of arms of the city of Saint-Malo, Gules with a portcullis Or, surmounted by an ermine proper, the emblem of Brittany. The red recalls the color of the privateer’s flag. The dogs, muscular and strong, hold the portcullis that closes the city walls. Known as “watchdogs”, they were released at night on the shore to protect the city from looting ships. They rest on the silver headband inscribed with “semper fidelis<\/em>” (always faithful), Saint-Malo’s motto for the loyalty of the city and its inhabitants to Breton values. <\/p>\n
