We are delighted to invite you to a special gathering that will take place on October 19 at 8:00 p.m. in our university residence in the heart of the sanctuary.
On the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, we will have the great joy of welcoming Brother François-Marie, a Pilgrim of Charity, who will be coming all the way from India to share with us his journey, his experiences, and his testimony of a life dedicated to serving the poorest of the poor.
For several years now, Brother François-Marie has been living among the most disadvantaged and has been participating in the mission of the Pilgrims of Charity, serving abandoned children, the sick, the homeless, and all those who have lost hope.
He will talk to us about his journey, his encounters with the poorest among us, what he receives from them, and what it means, in practical terms, to love and serve one’s neighbor.
Through his testimony, we will also discover how the message of St. Francis of Assisi, 800 years after his death, continues to speak to us today:
simplicity, brotherhood, joy, poverty, and service to the most vulnerable.
It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect, open to everyone.
Come learn about his journey, hear his story, and chat with him!
Please feel free to come—the more, the merrier!
